Description:
This previously unknown painting was hidden in a French attic, painted over with a terrible copy of a third rate, semi-pornographic Gaugin. When it came to light in April 2020, it shocked the art world. It is the only Van Gogh painting, dating from pre-ear removal, in which he painted himself #NOMAKEUP. And as you can tell, poor Vincent had a shocking physical deformity. One mismatched ear, on his otherwise perfectly girrafid face. No wonder he loathed it.
